Renaissance Ball

In Europe, balls punctuate court life; dance is part of the education of the nobility and highlights its qualities: elegance, refinement, self-control. True silent rhetoric, it allows to play the game of seduction, to express the feelings of love but also to transmit political messages as in the court ballets of allegorical character.

In connection with the school of music and the primary schools of the city of Descartes, the musicians of the ensemble Doulce Mémoire will open the ball and invite the public to dance to the sound of the melodies of the Renaissance period.
